Default Audi Helping Drivers Avoid Stoplights with “Travolution”

Anybody who has to do commuting through any major metropolitan areas would say that traffic lights are the bane of their existence. Nothing is worse after a long day at work than sitting in stupid traffic, a long string of red lights running down the avenue for as far as the eye can see while you just cruise along at 2 miles per hour hoping that you’ll squeeze through before that yellow light hits.

If you’re an Audi Dealer, Leesburg drivers are about to start slamming your facilities when they find out about the new “Travolution” technology that’s being tested in Audis over in Germany right now. It sounds fancy, but what it does in terms of cutting down on those red lights is what makes this truly amazing.

You’re not ready for this, but I have to write it.

Audi has developed something that tells drivers what speed to travel in order to best avoid the maximum number of stoplights. In other words, with the cooperation of cities that would integrate this technology into their light systems, you could figure out exactly how fast to drive to time when you reach the lights at their greenest. Rush hour still would be a headache, but Audi is claiming that this would cut down on some of that congestion. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

It also is being said that this technology could cut down on fuel emissions by up to 17%. Think about it—if you’re sitting at lights for less time, you’re saving money on the gas that burns while idling. The more energy you devote to actually driving as opposed to sitting still is going to help emissions.

In Chantily, VA, used car dealers are going to have to deal with the prospect of someday selling cars that don’t feature “Travolution” technology, but that’s the way advancement works. It’s a combination of travel, evolution, and revolution that means nothing but good things for consumers. Get yourself on a waiting list for an Audi and you’ll feel that headache start relieving itself. Can you imagine traffic jams being a thing of the past? Audi can, too, and that’s a beautiful thing.
