Default I'd go with 2 12"s, I can tune mine in real easily for SPL or SQ

I'd go with a medium box size then. For instance with the Xtant A1240, a very tightly resonsive sub enclosure would only be .5 cu.ft. A very loose (deep) response would come from a larger enclosure (in this example 2.5 cu.ft.). I plan on makin my boxes 1.5 cu. ft. so I have the option of tuning everything in for either SPL or SQ (just a few quick twists of a flathead screwdriver). Go to the website of the subwoofers company, and you can ask what size enclosures are recommended for either a tight response oe a deep response. Go for a volume somewhere in the middle, and from their you can come up with dimensions for your enclosure!!!! Good luck!!

Default One Problem for anyone considering this,.... Does this get me a gold star for the day???

Dont you think even the smaller sub(s) would create a reverberation in the larger sub???? That would kinda kill low rfequency clarity, since the reverberations would create a longer repsonse time of a note or frequency. Even a perfectly sealed enclosure couldn't completely prevent the reverberations from occuring. The amount of this happening may not be very obvious, but either way Id give it some thought

Default don't put them in the same enclosure

I'd put the 8s up front, or in the cabin, and the bigger subs out back.

Default yes, you need to tune

you'll probably want to rta the system to tune it, but no, you do not want 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 woofers in your car, as it would just cause hassle trying to match the level, color, and phase of all of them. plus, not to mention the fact that you are within 5 feet of most of them in a car. It'd be ok on stage at a concert or auditorium, where the distances mean these arrays of speakers look like a point source, but not in the car.

Default where would i put 8's closer than one 15?

i was looking to run 2 8's and 1 15...

i dont know about putting the 15 further than the 8s...i was thinking about putting the 15 in a box in the back of the trunk and then 2 8's in the small spaces in the trunk on each side.

Default should be just fine

or, you could move them to the cabin, in kicks, or in the rear deck.
