I have a 2000 A4 w/ Symphony system and I'm kind of "noncomittal," ie. don't want to lose much luggage space, don't want to eliminate back speakers, don't want to blow $2,000, etc.
Has anyone done a Sub/Amp? The idea is a self-contained unit w/ 10" sub and 150watt amp which you wire to the backs or to all speakers?

You could always try to find used goods or whatever. My friend got a 12" 6w JL Audio ($100 sued) and a brand new amp off net for $130.
He's like me, doesn't need car to be thump'd and shaking up other cars 1 block away. Just nice, clean, deep sounding bass. All you need to do is tweak with the trebble and bass and volume controls to get the perfect setitng for your tasts
