I know that you guys are going to kill me for asking, I tried searching alot and just want a last opinion before doing it myself or getting someone to do it:
I have a 2005 USP B6 with Bose, I just got Infinity Basslink II and wanted to figure out best/easiest way to install.
Question is, do I need a high/low converter like some people say or can I do what this link says:

W/O the converter?
Is this the easiest way to get through the firewall, by going through ECU box?
Thanks in advance, I am wanting the Bose amp to still power all the other speakers and get the easiest, best sounding install for the new Sub.

though you don't need to remove the 5th bolt which is tricky and unnecessary, and you don't need to cut a notch as there's a perfectly good spare grommet on the rubber boot where all the other cables enter the box.

noise & alternator whine into the Bose amp powering the cabin speakers. I've done this on about 20 Audi's using Alpine V12 amps and never had an interference problem. The pre-out is distortion free, but quite weak for a pre-out, at about 1v.

and bypasses the plenum. It is down lower than the brake booster, I need to look at my B6 again to confirm, but it might be on the right side.

and used the high level inputs on my sub amp. The amp is a JL 250/1 which has a built-in line output converter. If your amp allows for a high level input, it will have an LOC built in. The overall sound with my set-up (JL 250/1 with JL 8w7 sub) was absolutely astounding. i couldn't believe how much my entire system had been transformed.

a little eye candy to finish it all off as well......
