Detectors are "old hat", they will go off all the time whenever a motion detector is close by, shop fronts, trafic lights, pedestrian crossings etc. And they don't work with the latest speed camera technology, i.e. SPEC's camera's & Truvelo.
SPEC's are the latest hi tech revenue generators for the motorway. They read your licence plate and monitor your average speed over a number of miles. If you exceed the limit they automatically look up your name & address and send you a ticket. They are much smaller than traditional camera's, and they don't transmit any signal that can be detected. They are like a Robocop style VASCAR system. Truvelo are the new front facing camera's, again no signal, they use sensors in the road to determine an offnce then take a very close up picture of your car and driver.
GPS systems like Road Angel use satellite technology to determine exactly where you are, and compare it to the national database of speed camera locations, updated regularly via the web. No false alarms, even when passing a speed camera on the other side of the road. They also have laser detection, but without a laser diffuser like the target LRC100, this only offers limited protection. I have the Road Angel & Target diffuser, previously had a BEL detector, and the combination provides as much protection that is possible at the moment.

on getting a V1 along with a Lidatek-30 jammer, but I guess with what you just said these items are worthless. Im in Jersey I dont know if they are going to adapt to such technology yet?
So what is the best way to go regrading get outta tickets technology.

The LRC 100 is an active jammer smaller than a matchbox, mounted under the licence plate & hardwired to the car with an alarm and LED. It detects a laser gun targetting your vehicle, and scrambles the signal back to it for 5 seconds so it can't get a reading. After 5 secs it shuts down giving you enough time to slow, and allowing the gun to finally get a reading.
Didn't realise GPS camera detectors weren't available in the states, sorry. They are hugely popular in UK & Europe.
I guess you don't have the enormous amount of permanent speed traps in the US that we have here. We currently have over 6000 fixed speed camera's and the number is growing rapidly regardless of all the evidence that accidents/deaths/injuries are still rising, so they have no effect on safety.
