Bose Amp dead!! Aftermarket??
It appears that the Bose amp controls all six channels. Is there a single option or suggestion on replacing the Bose amp with an aftermarket unit? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem is...
the BOSE amp has equaliztion that works with the head unit and the speakers.
You are better off with one of two options:
1) Simplest is to source a replacement.
2) Change the headunit as well as the speakers...you'll reward yourself with better sound in the end.

No, you can just snip the Bose wire on the back of the HU to get rid of that shyte Bose EQ
the main problem is the speakers are 2 ohm impedance so you need to ensure any amp can handle that load.

But again, going the route of putting a good aftermarket unit in, and..
..keeping the crappy BOSE drivers is doing a half-*** job.
You know the old saying "A cheap pair of speakers will make an expensive amp sound cheap".

Re: Mac sub
MacSub, you have helped me in the past with issue. You told me to resolder the components. That worked for a short time before i started to expirience the same problems again of the amp cutting out. The amp appears to be a 5 channel. Is this correct? Is there a typical aftermartket replacement for these amps. Any other information is appreciated.

I agree. in the long run i would have to replace speakers. Right now i just want to hear some music since i drive around in silence, since the amp is shot.
