Is it worth it to get the Bose premium sound system if im going to change out the headunit? I like the 10 speaker deal though. Im not sure if im going to keep the speakers or not.

The upgraded Symphony II system with the new Bose setup in the new A4 is supposed to be very very nice compared to the old bose setup.
If your going to change out the headunit, you can retain the bose equipment using an adaptor that runs ~100.
I'd sve the $500 and use it for your new HU, then get real amps and real speakers.

All right I think im gonna just keep the bose speakers, maybe put in some subs. It did sound very good, but the sales man was there and I didn't want to turn it to loud.

and you have to remember, it's almost impossible to find something that would match the interior's RED of our cars. But the if you don't care about keeping the awesome look of the interior, go with aftermarket.
I kept the factory Bose, tuned it to minimize base on factory speakers, and added up a nice sub setup. I'm running two 12" Image Dynamic IDQs, and a 800 watt PPI Power Class. With the bass minimized on the factory speakers, a little playing around with the EQ, and some nice subs, the system can actually sound okay.
But then again, I still might say **** it and change everything one day. Up to you... the factory red interior, that I think looks totally sick, or better sound.

You kept all 10 factory speakers plus the 2 subs? Im going to add in a screen up front (navi) so the red isn't a big deal.

something that will cover up the hole you'll make by taking out Bose. I reccomnd a Alpine pop up and their DVD player right under it. Again, Alpine is all green, so it wont go with the red, but thats up to you. If you change you deck, then change your speakers too. Bose won't run too well on after market decks.

I was going to go with pioneer. I was told apline and pioneer navigation are the same except pioneer has voice activation. So i'll have to get new speakers too?? Ugh.
