Default Bose Rear Speakers Question

I have an 98 A4 with the bose stereo but my rear deck speakers are busted. I was wondering since I hear those rear deck speakers are just 6-8" subs if I can just replace them with a different set of 8"subs or if I am going to need to get another amp or if I cant do that at all and I need to stick with bose speaker if the rest of them are bose speakers and i have the bose head unit. I would like to keep the rest of the bose stuff in there I am just wondering if there is an easy fix for the cheap *** subs?

Default Yes you can fix the cheap-*** subs.....

Feed the high level signal from the rears to a good amp that can accept a high-level input and that has a built-in line output converter. Then use it to power an aftermarket sub. Get the right combination of stuff and the results can be quite amazing.

I installed a JL audio 8W7 sub with a JL 250 watt amp onto the stock Bose system in my '07 RS4. The results were simply astounding.
