looks nice! but can't do sub enclosures, need trunk room..plus
i was thinking more of componets up front and back, w/ 4 channel amp...wimpy? maybe, but w/ install, wires, etc, can't break the bank. will keep HU.
am i going about it the wrong way?>

my suggestion
With that budget, I suggest keeping the stock head unit and interfacing an amp and new speakers to it.
A JLStealthbox in the back, retains the trunk room, but gives you 2 8" JL woofers-used about $350.00 I think
Front speakers, I have Eclipse Point sources, many different options/opinions here, go listen to some speakers.
and a good high quality 4x50 amp. make sure it's bridgable for the Stealthbox in the back. I use PPI PC450.
new all this would cost alot more than $1000, but by getting used and shopping around you can probably do it.
