Can the shark fin that is being used for factory XM be used for future aftermarket XM?

but that was about a year ago. Considering they are not pulling in as many subscribers I am surprised they are releasing multi million $ sats into space. Good for them, I hope they do well, competition never hurt anything... if nothing else it will make my XM better and better

each manufacturer chooses one or the other. Pretty nice that Audi allows for both. Are Audi radios still made by Panasonic... I know my OEM TT radio was. I use all Pioneer now

a friend has a cabrio with XM and it works just as well as my xm w/ sharkfin..
if they can get xm to work in a cabriolet without a sharkfin why in the world would they include that hideous thing for the hardtop?

For some reason (I believe rear impact collisions) the trunk on the cabrio's is made out of a composit material rather then sheet metal as on the Sedans and Avants - if so, its robably able to transmit directly through it.
