Default Can somebody help with portable mp3 players?

I've been looking for a portable mp3 player to use while working out. So far, every manufacturer lists their playtime specs according to the 128kbps bitrate. I've heard that a lot of them cannot play anything higher or will downconvert to 128 when you upload. Does anybody know a player that can play 192 and 256kbps bitrates? The other strange thing is that a lot of them say that with 64MB of internal memory and an additional smart media card you can havea total of 128MB of memeory. Now smart media is available in 128MB so does this mean that the player will not accept a 128MB card? So far I'm leaning toward the Sensory Science Rave 2200 player or an MPIO or Samsung player because those are the only ones I've come across that have FM tuners. Does anybody know the real truth behind these mp3 players? TIA

Default yup... makes me even more glad I use a Mac.

though there is third-party Windoze software for it, called XPlay. It won't be nearly as elegant as iTunes, of course.

Default I have the Nomad II MG and the Archos 6000

The nomad is great for running but it does not have any belt clip. You can update the firmware to accept 128mb smart media cards. I can have about 3 albums on mine with the 196 total memory in it. The archos is ideal for home or car use or anywhere you would use a cd player and 6000mb of memory! If you want it for running then go with the flash memory type.

Check out cnet or epinions for reviews.<ul><li><a href="http://music.cnet.com/music/0-1566073-8-6199116-1.html?tag=st.mu.1566073.revwrap.1566073-8-6199116-1">cnet mp3 reviews</a></li></ul>
