Default Can you take a CD changer out of a TT and put it in a A4?

The question is because I want to get this ice link that has been taken out of a TT. I am sorry I don't know the year of the TT yet.

Does that matter? I talked to dension today and they said it would work no problem. But I listened to them before about the same kind of thing and got screwed.

So just wanted to make sure the AW people agree...TIA

Default Depends on the year of the A4?...

If the A4 headunit is a Concert, Symphony I or II....then it shouldn't be a problem.

Does the Icelink connect at the 13 pin CD changer interface...or behind the TT head unit(Concert I or II)??

Give me some answers...

Default it came out of a 02 TT...

It connects to the cd changer. I am not sure what headunit the TT had.

I would be connecting it to my 01 A4 that has the bose system. I am not sure what kind of headunit it has for sure. It is a double din if that helps at all.

/Thanks a lot, hope you are still tracking the thread.

Default yup....should fit no problem....one suggestion...

you should confirm how the CD changer was mounted in the TT (vertically)...vs. A4/A6 (horizontally).

Which means you will need to change the config of the cd changer suspension system. Nothing to be alarmed about....just a twist of a screw driver to change the orientation from vert...to horz.

Good luck!

PS: Why not just add a phatbox? They are selling 'em for $150. See some recent threads from the past four days on the C5 A6 forum (firstVWparts etc. is selling 'em real cheap). See also my sig for my phatbox install.

Default This is actually for the dension ice>link...

If i would have of done my research like i should of i would of got the phatbox but... i am already invested into an ipod so i am just going to go ahead and go on with it.

The only reason why i was asking about the connection for the cd changer is that is how this particular ice>link is wired up.

Thanks for the help.
