Default Cap install question?

i had my stereo in my jeep but removed it a little over a month ago when i bought my A4.

i had the cap installed at the local stereo shop who told me the cap must be "charged" before installing, and "discharged" before un-installing. i didn't discharge it when i took the stereo out because i didnt know how.

my question is, will it need to be charged before i install it in my new car? if so how do i go about doing this? its a 1.2 Farid Power Accustik cap w/ digital readout if that helps at all.

Default you should probably go through the charge/discharge process before installing it just to be safe.

not sure about the discharge process, but the charging process involves a specific resistor that should've come with your cap...
