A few months ago I put in a new stereo system, subwoofer, amp and everything in my A4. My battery has since died three times. Changed to a new battery the first time, changed the alternator the second. Can't start my car! Could it be the amp?

Get a good DVOM that will measure up to a 20A current draw.
Disconnect the battery, ground cable first.
Disconnect the positive cable.
Connect up the DVOM for amperage (current) measurement.
Connect the ground cable.
Read the meter.
something is drawing *a lot* of current at rest.

Take the fuse out of the amps power and see if this resolves the problem. If it does then it is definately the amp. It must be drawing current even when the stereo is off, could be wiring could be faulty amp, difficult to say.
