Default CD Changer

I will be purchacing a A4 1.8T next week, and I do what the CD Changer, but $650 MSRP seems a bit steep. Any recommendations on aftermarket brands that will fit right in? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Default Crutchfield sells many for....

between $200 and $400. I assume that since the car can come from the factory with or without a changer, there must be some type of direct way to hook it up, probably with an adapter. Don't let them convince you to us an FM modulator though, you then get the same frequency responce of a radio instead of a CD player.

Default autotoys.com...OEM CHANGER compatible units

The Type III 6 disc is the same unit as the Audi product but Audi twiddles the interface wires a bit so this Panasonic CDP610 comes with an adapter to make it work properly.

Default I just ordered the Type II 8 disc unit ($194) from autotoys...

...Watch for a post in a week or so (when I get
it) about how it worked out.

PS: (you can't get to discs 7 or 8 directly, but
they claim it will play them sequentially
after 6)
