The factory FM-modulated CD changer in my '92 100CSq is starting to act up. I have the original Audi manual for it, which specifies the (un-used) FM stations the unit keys in on, and have tried them both but it doesn't make any difference.
It acts like it's loosing reception and cuts out leaving static, cuts back in, then out again, etc.
Is this a commom problem? Can the unit be repaired? Is there something outside the unit like a tranceiver or something that may really be the cause?
Here's what I know about it...
8-pin round connector
6-disc magazine
oem part # 4D0 035 111
Thanks,
John
