Clicking noise from speakers with Bose system
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have a 99 A4 with the Bose system. My problem is a clicking noise comes from the speakers every so often. It doesn't last long and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. At 1st I thought it was the CD player skipping, but then it made the noise with just the radio on. The dealer says it doesn't make the noise for them (of course not). Any help would be appreciated.

from the rear speakers?
on my non bose system, i have self powered speakers in the back, those click when ever they sense a signal from the headunit.
i get occasional clicks in between switching from cd to tape or FM and turning on and off.
but only the rear speakers. fronts are fine.
not sure if this helps or adds to the fire.<p>2000 A4 1.8TQMS

Re: from the rear speakers?
I'm not sure if the noise is coming from the rear. It doesn't matter what speed, bumpy, smooth, etc. And it doesn't happen when I switch from the CD to the radio either. I am assuming it is either a bad speaker or a loose wire. Of course the dealer can't get it to make the noise when I take it in for service, so they aren't going to waste the time to tear the car apart looking for it.
