Default Compressed sound Audi A6

Greetings to all. It's very pleasant to be here with you Audi fellows.

Now I have a question regarding the Audi A6 sound.
I have Audi A6 3.0 TDI quattro 2009 model MMI 3G (not the Bose sound system, it's the standard speaker system i think), when the volume is normal or low, the sound is quite good, but when I raise the volume to somewhere high, the sound is kind of compressed sound.

Is there a way to fix this issue, for example to get clean sound even thought the volume is high, or any replacement of the speakers, or any advice is more than welcome.

Thank you in advance
V/r

Car audio is like anything else A/V related in that the sky's the limit. The best bang for your buck though is speaker replacement. I wish I could show you side by side images of the stock speakers in our Audis and some decent aftermarket speakers. The difference in construction and sound quality is substantial. There's almost always an aftermarket speaker that will drop right into the stock speaker enclosure.

As for installation I'm not too comfortable messing with car trim pieces. Anytime I have I break tabs or attachments more often than not so I find a high quality car stereo installer and have them do it for me.

Clarity of sound at higher volumes - well, depending on what high volume means to you personally, you could be looking at installation of an amplifier on top of speakers. That can make a very nice difference as well. Speakers first though and that may satisfy your needs alone.

@Jayhawk94

Thank you for your response. Really appreciated.

What's your preference. I mean what kind of speaker you would prefer if you would change yours.

Thank you

I went with Hertz on my last two installs but be mindful of a budget and diminishing returns when you start looking around. On my allroad install the installer had a wall of speakers ranging from inexpensive to more expensive than my first car. I listened to them side-by-side and chose the ones that sounded as good as the next step up. That is, I couldn't hear the difference and went with the less expensive which at that time were Hertz Hi-Energy.

Almost anything will be an noticeable improvement over the OEM speakers though so keep that in mind when balancing price vs performance.
