Concert wiring

I have an idea why the CD changer from my 99.5 A4 isn't working with the Concert II I used to replace the Concert I. There's a slight difference in the wiring diagrams I didn't notice before; thanks to a search on here I realized there's a CD ground in the 10-pin connector in the Concert that's not on the Concert II. So I'm thinking that if I were to ground that pin from the car harness it should work.
Does it sound like I'm on the right track? Thanks.

I thought that made sense but always get nervous about screwing up expensive electronics. I suppose I can even use the "extra" ground wire that the Concert I uses that the Concert II doesn't.

and it should be connected to concert II, connector I, pin 2.
This wire tells your concert headunit when the doors are locked with the remote. In turn, the concert turns off the amp in about 1 minute instead of waiting 30 minutes and running your battery down.
