I have a PC in the trunk and am adding a USB HD radio which I need to connect to an antenna, and I'd like that to be the stock antenna. Searching tells me I need to get an antenna amp, which is fine.

My quesiton is: since I want to put this device in the trunk near the PC, is there somewhere in the trunk where I can tap into the antenna? Where is the actual antenna located ('02 B5 S4)?

...just run the USB device to the front and connect the antenna amplifier to your unit.

I've found that the actual antenna is embedded in the rear windshield. At least, that's what I read. You could probably hack it, if you're brave enough.

What USB HD radio are you using?

I may just do that then. I'm looking at a unit that is just starting to go into beta. I can follow up with you once it's released as I can't say much at this point based on signing an NDA. It is supposed to sell for around $150 and integrate into a lot of the popular front-ends that are out there today.
