Okay, so I've decided to go with 345is components in my A4. I live 45 mi. from the nearest a/d/s/ dealer. On the internet I se these speakers priced from $350 to $650. I realize that most of these are not authorized dealers. How reliable are they? Where do they get their

OK. I'm new at this stuff. It's true what they say, you know. "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." But that doesn't mean he's not trying.

I have a set of 8 yr old a/d/s mids in my truck and they still sound fine. as long as you cross them over well, you should be good.
search for a guy called robotunderground or therobotunderground on ebay. i got a set of 345is components that were mix-matched for $250 for 2 mids, 2 tweets + 2 crossovers, all brand new. a lot of the stuff you see on ebay is from a a/d/s liquidation that went down sometime in the past couple years before they were bought out I believe.
