Do new Pioneer Premiere units still support "Pro" mode?

Looking at the DEH-P980BT and the DEH-P800PRS
Neither mention it, but both claim '3 way crossover'
Same thing? Or is 3 way referring to front/rear/sub?
Also - will either (or both) of these units control an ipod at "full speed"? Unlike my DEH-P860MP
Any reason to prefer one over the other?

They both require the CD-IB100II adapter which is similar to the original CD-IB100 except it actually passes most of the ipod information to the head unit.
As far as pro mode goes, it's hard to tell because the specs only list HP crossover points for the mids and LP crossover points for the subs. Non of the crossover points are high enough for a tweeter. I can't seem to access the manuals at work but that would be a good place to look if you can get it to work.

I really wanted the AVIC-D3 if only they had an external processor for it that could do what the pro mode does on their heigher end units. The direct link ipod connector is quite good for that unit. The CD-IB100II is not bad either but not as fast as direct link. Definitely not as bad as the 1st gen CD-IB100.
I installed an Alpine IVA-W200 head unit and PXA-H701 processor this weekend. Now tuning the 1/3 octave EQ begins.

Both use the CD-IB100II for ipod connection. Seems like the P800 is just a newer version of the P880 that was out just a few years ago. It was pretty much their best SQ head unit in the US. My friend has one in two of his cars and it's a great unit.
