Do someone know if this will work for a system.

8" Touchscreen
Kenwood Navigation
Kenwood-top of the line DVD HU
I want to mount just the 8' Touchscreen upfront, and the put the DVD player in the glove box, NAv unit in the trunk. Now i know the touchscreen will work flawlessly with the Nav unit, but do you think it will integrate with the DVD player? Being that it is a Kenwood i think it would but no one has been able to answer that. I just would like use the touchscreen for operating everthing. Also i have the Sirius satellite tuner from Panasonic i want to hook up and would like to know if i can control what i listen to from the touchscreen?

it will play the DVD but it wont control it with the touch screen
I have been useing kenwood for a while and know that it wont control the DVD player. It will only control the NAV.

If you do add a DVD, at least you could get one with a remote.

I have that screen and nav. unit. The screen will not control any other kenwood component,
just the KNA-DV2100 navigation unit. You can use it to play DVDs from just about any DVD head unit, but like BoosTed said you can't control the head unit via the touch screen. I actually called and talked to Kenwood's technical support department a couple of days ago just to verify that there is no way to do so!
