here's the story. I have a 1999.5 Audi A4. I have the upgraded HVAC controls, but I have the single DIN opening, as well as the space below the ash tray.

Does anyone want to swap these pieces? I will give you the trim piece, the HVAC, ash tray etc, you give me your HVAC, trim piece, ash tray etc. that will allow us both a simple installation of our new stereos (I've recently purchased a double din HU)

How'd you remove the trim piece that is off in the pictures? I want to remove the trim piece and HVAC to get to the ashtray so I can install an EQ in place of the ashtray. Any tips well appreciated.

I just opened the ash tray, then you can get a hold of it from the bottom. just pull gentley
