Hi Folks,

My symphony I radio from a B5 A4 started to act up with the CD player skipping and failing to play certain CDs. I don't want to go aftermarket, and the dealer wanted an arm/leg for a remanufactured one.

I believe the symphony I is made by panasonic, and I've traced the part number to the one specified from panasonic

Audi part # 8D0 035 195 (A4, S4) --> Panasonic Model CQLA1820L...

I think the service manual is here. Just wondering

1) if anyone can confirm this is the correct model number.

It will be much easier for you to buy a used one on ebay for $100. Just make sure you get one from a B5 A4/S4.

Also, depending on whether you have bose or not, you might need to reVAG your new Sym I after you install it. Do a search in the VAG forum (in AW) to find someone close to you that can help out.
