dual 4 ohm subs that do 1000 watt and can do 2000, what's the best amp?
lastly i've found maybe 4 sony xplod type amplifiers that do ~400 a piece would almost make the power. Cant find anything good looking enough beside's rockfords.

i have a feeling its not a real 1000 watt sub. best way to try is to get a real 1000 watt amp and see if the sub overexcurts.
try a jl 1000/1. it will do 1000+ watts at 2 ohm.
try a jl 1000/1. it will do 1000+ watts at 2 ohm.

this amp looks winner but it ends in 2 hours.

nope, dual 4 ohm can be wired to 2ohm in parallel
and 2 dual 4 ohm subs can be hooked to 1 ohm in parallel
