Dynamat / eDead --- Worth the time, effort, and money, or waste of all three?

it reduces vibrations in the car. Whether it's worth it or not depends on how critical a listener you are. Doing a whole car can get expensive (couple hundred or so) so you'll have to make the decision on how much that is worth to you.
In a more technical sense, it has been said that if you can lower the noise floor by 3dB, it is the equivalent of raising your program material volume 3dB. In terms of amplifier power, a 3dB gain is doubling the power. So you could say that putting in enough sound damping material to drop the noise floor 3dB is the equivalent of doubling your amplifier power.

i don't think its really necessary unless you're going for competition...in my opinion, the cabin is plenty quiet with factory sound deadening, no need to spend more money and add more weight.
if i were putting a good system in something like my porsche, however, yeah I'd get dynamat (but I love the exhaust note and lightweight feel, so I don't foresee doing that any time soon, but that's neither here nor there...)

True, it's run by a sound control materials vendor, but it's worth a look:

http://www.secondskinaudio.com/forums/index.php</a
