whats everyones opinion?
im looking at getting an alpine deck on ebay...its will cost me round 400 less (599 as opposed to 999) and it has a 1 year warranty in asia....so aparrently if i send it back to asia the warranty will be granted if problems arise...
the seller is a power seller with 99.6 rating...
any thoughts on warranty quality etc etc?

I have used Ebay on many occasions (buy and sell). If he is a power seller and has over a 99% rating,I would not worry too much about the seller. However, you would have to decide whether or not having to send the unit to Asia, if it breaks, is an issue for you.

its a tough choice when i could get top of the line alpine head unit for 699 compared to 1599 retail....is one year of warranjty really that important
plus i could almost buy a second unit and get another one year warranty 4 cheaper than retail

Yeah..try to get the damned thing back through customs.
If it don't work when you get it get the "power-seller" who's buyers comment on easy returns. Other than that, it's a tosser if it does go out somewhere down the line. Thats why greymarket stuff is priced so well. No company liability for follow up..lol
