Default eclipse or pioneer head units?

What do you guys think TOTL pioneer or exlipse?

And here's the setup I am considering:

9200R Pioneer Custom dash piece for my 2000
PPI 245 processor
Q 5.25 MB Quart for the front (Stock locations?)
RKC 113 for the rear (stock location)
PPI 4800 (front and rear power)
PPI 2600 (sub power)
JL Audio 12w3 (2 of them, not sure yet if I should go with through the ski hole, or in the rear deck.)

How much do you guys think I should pay for a really custom install? The guys here are charging like $2350 for a week long install.

thanks

joshua

Default I was quoted about the same for a similar install so, I decided to do it myself(m)

I have been at it for two days, I should be done tomorrow (just need to carpet my sub box.

As far as head units are concerned, you can't go wrong with either of those. I would, as a matter of opinion, lean towards the Eclipse, higher quality, but less features and you don't get the gaudy pioneer display. I was considering Eclipse and Kenwood and ended up with a Kenwood, it has tons of features, looks a lot cleaner than the pioneer and the deciding factor, it has red LEDs that match the Audi perfectly!

Good luck!

Default well..

it all depends on what you are getting. If you are talking them building a box/amp rack, and installing the stuff you have, I would say that is way too high. But if we are talking a competition-level install with most likely fiberglass, you may be getting your moneys worth. As far as the head unit goes, I went with Eclipse. I just thought they sound qual. was suberb, and the warranty on stolen units is friggin awesome. That was probably the biggest selling point for me.
