Default Electrical Issue: OBD Connection Failure, Airbag & ABS Lights on A6 Avant '99 (C5)

Hello everyone,
I'm having an issue with my Audi A6 Avant, 1.9tdi engine from '99 (C5).
I've visited two different mechanics and used six different testers, but none could establish a connection to my car's system via the OBD.
The Airbag and ABS lights are both on, indicating some electrical issues. I'm considering tracing the wiring diagram manually to identify and potentially repair any broken wiring.
This process could take anywhere from 20 minutes to 20 hours, and I'm looking for any advice to make it more manageable.
Are there any known issues or typical areas where the wiring tends to break on this model? Or any other general tips you can offer?
Thank you!
Kasper
