I have an '87 4000csq with a stereo out of a '89 (I think) Jetta, and it's stuck on "safe". I have the code (now!!), but I can't get it to go past "safe". I've left it on for hours, and I even took the fuse out overnight thinking it would reset, or erase the memory to allow me to enter the code. Holding down the two buttons doesn't do anything. It's a Heidelberg (sp), I don't know which model. Any of you guys have an idea how to get it going again. Thanks in advance for any help.
