I am wanting to get new speakers and a sub in my 1998 audi a4. I work at a major electronic store so I can get pretty good discounts. I currently have an eclipse headunit with stock speakers. I am looking at putting alpine speakers the m350 amp and a 12" sub.I have no experience with car audio and am wondering how hard it would be for myself to put in the system myself. Does anyone have a step by step guide or know of one for my car. Any help would be great! Thanks

Good choice of speakers and sub. If you do have the bose system, just get it professionally installed, it is too much of a pain in the *** for you to re-wire everything if you are not sure how to do it. If it is not the bose system, then it is still fairly complicated but not impossible for you to figure out if you have a basic idea of what to do. good luck

Audi. You very probably will end up breaking panel pieces and other random stuff, not to mention not being familiar with the wiring layouts. Screw any of these things up and you'll be both pissed off and paying out your ears to get it fixed correctly. While it's not very hard to do an install, you don't want your A4 to be your guinea pig.
