Default Finally getting my system installed... picked out the headunit Eclipse 8053

Balanced 16V obviously. So I added the additional adapter. I'm going to come back for the CD changer, and the command unit. Also they'll apparently have a Sirium E-com unit coming out for it also. Should work nice with another accessory they offer which is a hard disc recorder.

System Specs:
Eclipse 8053 Headunit with balanced line converter
Arc Audio 4150CXLR (Mains)
Arc Audio 2500CXL (Sub)
Rainbow Professional Line Vanadium Series
Rainbow Soundline Coax (rear fill)
Monstercap 1 Farad

I'm probably going to run one of my 12W6's I have for the time being.. but eventually (read: soon) I'm going to use that monster amp to drive an eclipe titanium 10".

Default Tell me what you know about the upcoming E-com unit.

I've been waiting to buy a new Eclipse until they finally hooked up with Sirius, but haven't heard anything recently. Do you know the timeline?

Nice choice of head units, BTW. Eclipse rocks!

Default now all you need are some Zapco C2K amps that have balanced inputs although...

the Arc stuff you are running is designed by Robert Zeff who founded Zapco. I believe the new Arc Audio DXE EQ/Crossover has balanced inputs. take advantage of those balanced lines!

Default All that nice SQ equipment and then you want to get a (relatively) muddy sounding Ti?

IMO, besides the Ti, that is a great SQ setup. Ti's are good no doubt, but I myself prefer the Alum's for their SQ over the Ti's. And of course there are other nice SQ subs out there as well.

Default I bought the balanced line convertor

So the lines run to the back of the car, then are converted through the eclipse add-on unit.

I got this headunit because of the internal processing on it. I might go external later.. but space is my #1 problem. Removing the passengers seat is looking like my best option ;-).

Default Hmm... interesting?

Other suggestions?? I really want SQ primarily above all.

But I do need serious power handling, though I could always run the amp 270x2 @4 ohms into a DVC sub.

I also looked into Brahmas and IDMAX, but fwiw... I'm not sure that either of those I necessarily love either.

I always ran JL before this for subs.
