I'm about to change my second A4 compnay car for a new one, but am being told that I can't fit a Sony MD player/changer due to incompatibilites with the new wiring (cambus??) in the most recent A4 models, although I've used one in my current a$ for three years. A very helpful lady at Audi UK even told me that around £4K's worth of damage was done when someone went ahead against advice and fitted such a unit. She also said that the matter had been referred on to Audi Germany and that it may be possible later to fit such kit, but not in the immediate future.

Can anyone shed anymore light on this?

available yet for that model yet. i replaced the head in my 99 passat and received the same comment from a tech. heck, they wouldn't plug my car into a computer until i removed the head. supposedly if you cross wire something on accident you can destroy your electronics as well as their computer (which concerns them more). i would find a competent installer and have them guarantee their work, let them touch it, not you. i am sure a wiring harness will be out soon enough for the car, until gotta wait. (sucks)
