also...is it really worth the extra money to get qsd216's by mb quart (my friend is bugging me to get it)...

Go for the QSD's. www.cbrstereo.com has them for $650. IMO they are the best speakers on the market for that price.

Default cant go wrong with either one each person will have their own preference
I have teh Diamond Audio's and love them

I'm going with the 500/5. It has 25 more rms to the front components than the 300/4. Same sub output as 250/1.
