Default Frequency below 60Hz for Concert II

I recently deBosed my Concert II so that I could get a flat requency response from the Concert II. Now everything above 60Hz is nice and flat, but there is NO signal below 60Hz. Is there a way to set the Concert II to produce lower frequencies ? Is this cutoff some factory protection ?

Default Remove unit, throw in trash, replace with aftermarket.

I've tried what you're trying to do and no matter what I tried the response was never as good as aftermarket.

Default I am tempted to use aftermarket.

I would still think there is something I can do with the factory head unit. When I did de Bose the head unit, the fader control came online. After playing around more, the frequency range does change with the FADER. Yes the fader. The manual does say the fader doesn't work with the TT Coupe. I think I need to play with the VAG settings more, but not sure exactly what.

I just like the aesthetics of the factory unit. I have better sound with an aftermarket amp and different speakers, and with futile hope that I might keep the factory head unit.

There is the stock HU + JL Audio Cleansweep + aftermarket Amp option.

I'm stuck between that and trying to find a non-repulsive aftermarket HU... Can't decide, but it's hard to find an HU that doesn't look like a video toy.

Thanks. What I dislike about the JL Audio Cleansweep, is that you have to use a volume control that is part of the Cleansweep. Not the HU volume control. Alpine is suppose to come out with something soon like the Cleansweep that does the precesssing in real time, and thus you can use your own volume control.

I am in a similar boat you are, trying to keep the stock HU, but making adjustments so I don't need Cleansweep.

Yeah -- the Alpine might be very interesting. I don't quite see how it could handle all that in real time, though. Then again, I have no real understanding of the processing involved...

I was looking at the dash today, and thought the Cleansweep volume **** could go just to the left of the radio, in what in my A4 is the grey plastic strip running around the middle of the dash. Replacing that one small piece of trim might not be too much of a hassle if I ever took it out later.

When I deBosed, I added the "fader" control in the head unit. This was the source, of the problem. Not sure why this would be, but thanks to those that responded.
