override the parking brake. I have 2 wires that are still undone and somehow related to the parking brake. they are..... yellow/blue - parking brake and yellow/black ignition.
The yellow/blue goes to the parking brake signal lead and the yellow/black goes to the foot brake cord or brake lamp cord. Any ideas how to override the safety ****? I put a 12v wire to the yellow/blue wire through a toggle switch and it didn't o anything.
link is the wireing diagram.<ul><li><a href="http://24.159.203.66:85/alpine.jpg">http://24.159.203.66:85/alpine.jpg</a</li></ul>

This unit was in my bosses car and it worked without one. Now I tried a few things.
attached a 12v to the E brake lead and a ground to the foot brake. That worked. So i restarted the car(IE the unit as well). The screen wouldn't come on. Then i switched the hot wire from the E brake to the foot and the ground to the E brake. It came on. This pissed me off. So i attached the E brake and the foot brake together put it through a switch and then connected the 12v. This worked.... after hitting the switch 50 times and waiting 3-4 minutes and when i restarted the car the unit wouldn't play DVDs anymore and i had to repeat the prosses. Any suggestions?

The module recreates this series of pulses so that the unit believes you are stopped and have the e-brake on. You may have been just getting lucky and getting it to work on certain occasions but I know that the TR-7 module is widely used specifically for this purpose on the IVA series units. The module is like $20 so you basically have nothing to lose except your own time trying to be cheap about it and not getting it.
