Yeah, tell me about it.

You can't really here it when you're inside the car (the rattle that is, probably due to volume) but outside of the car its ridiculous.

Is that a problem?

I had a friend who had his amp mounted on the trunk lid on his old audi quattro. Maybe the lifting rod things could wear out faster?

It's possible. I was thinking more as an inconvience. Having the lid slam eveytime.
