Have a question. I have done the rca conversion to my symphony head unit. I ran power wire from...
the distribution block under the drivers side knee bolster. RCA and speaker wires are down the passenger side. Ground is less than a foot from the amps and is very good. I am getting a very high pitch chirp when I adjust the volume of the head unit even when the engine is not running. There is no other interference other than that. Any ideas, suggestions.

here is what I did. I used the blau adapter. I removed the pins from the adapter and the stock...
harness. I plugged the blau pins into the stock harness, and electrical taped and then friction taped the pins that were no longer needed. So I never really spliced into any wires. It is not really a big issue, just a little annoying.

I am not a fan of the blau adapter.
I used the PAC adapter for my conversion. There are a few other types of adapters, Tsunami is a very good and inexpensive one for about 12.00. There are some that are more expensive, but you mainly pay for the name as I did by buying the PAC one. I have no noise and no issues. and after you do your set-up, make your hidden eq settings to 5, tune your amps (make sure your phisical eq settings on the Symphony are at zero gain), then change your hidden EQ and you will be amazed at the fullness of sound you get. My settings are 65677567 and I love the way the music sounds.
One question I forgot, What type of Amps are you running? And where did you mount them?

I am running an xtant 404M to the components, and a 121M to the subs. They are mounted on a rack...
that I built. It is located on the passenger side of the car. They are mounted to the floor against the side wall.

Excllent choice in amps!!!!
I mounted mine in a similar area. My best guess is your Blau adapter. Something just doesn't seem right about you having a chirping even while your car is off. One other thing could be something to do with your RCA wires (a crimp or break in the ground wire that runs through the cable), but seeing that you have hi-end amps (better than my PPI and V12s IMO) I am sure you have good wires. One thing you could try also is gounding the RCA wire as well (I had to do that on my Impala SS)
