Default Head unit issues

01 S4 with Bose factory head-unit (I know....I need to get rid of it) running to Kicker 5-ch Amp powering a set of MBQs and a JL sub. No problems since installation @ 1 year ago. Last night, leaving work, stereo will not come on, head-unit is blank. I'm think it's the fuse so I change it, et voila, it works! Just to see if the fuse is bad I put it in the sunroof position and the sunroof opens no problem! Stereo works all the way home, but does the same thing again this morning and again this evening. Each time, if I pull the fuse and replace it (with the car off), the stereo comes back to life! I have no other power related problems. Is it the head unit?

Your collective wisdom is much appreciated.

Cheers,

P

Default maybe a wire has come loose and is causing the stereo to shut down

Which in turn protects anything from blowing.

Check all your wires from your amps and speakers. A wire might be loose not making correct contact causing your stereo to cut out.
