Default head unit woes...

I purchased a Pioneer head unit (DEH-P5450). Additional info about the unit can be found here

http://www.car.pioneeraus.com.au/catalogue/product_cd_tuners/deh-p5450/product_dehp5450.html

Anyway I installed it, soldered the wiring nicely and then it won't play CDs. You put in the CD and it cuts out. One person has said it won't work properly without a acc. wire which the 1990 audi 90Q 20v doesn't. Any ideas?

I am going to get a multimeter tonight and check the voltage's. I might replace thw riring.

On another note what is the adaptor I need for the aerial!?? I need to buy one, and a 15A fuse!

Cheers

Aaron

Default I used the Scosche kit, it worked fairly well for me...more

They have a wiring harness that may also help in addition to the antenna adapter. You can order directly from them also. There may be a simple answer to the wiring problem, check every lead, otherwise may be a defective deck.

I assume you have an A4?? If not, there may be differences, I have a 98.5 A4.
