Default Clifford is out of business. Avital is the new company that was formed when they were purchased by

directed electronics. I am also not impressed with their stuff. I had a clifford alarm in my prior car, and had nothing but troubles. Back to Alpine. Works like a charm. I have an 8028 in my car and I know others here have since installed it, and thing it works great also.

Alpine 8028 writeup

Default I never had a problem with my Clifford.. in it's 6th year of service..

But now that DEI is in the mix, it could ALL go downhil. Viper alarms have always blown ***.

Default Actually, I think you may be lucky with your clifford. My shop, which is a very high end place, ...

sold them because they had all these bells and whistles, however, they indicated to me that they were always the least reliable of the alarms they sell. Alpine tend to be the most reliable, but don't have nearly as many features.

Default Nope. I'm not too keen on the idea of the car running

after I've gone. But from what someone here posted, it is compatible with the Alpine 8028 security system, although that I don't know that from personal experience.

Alpine alarm systems can integrate with turbo timers.
