Default Help! Audio Install Issue (XM/CD Changer) (x-post)

I've just finished working on plumbing in my xm skyfi via tapping into the cd changer input on my Symphony HU. I have a CD changer, so I cut into the left and right line-level wires from the changer, routed those to a A/V switch via RCA cables. I only spliced in the center conductor of the RCA cables, and didn't do anything with the shield. I also did not tap into the S-GND line.
Unfortunately, I've got a lot of noise when I use the XM input (the changer sounds great.) Any thoughts on this? Do I need to tie the RCA shields together, and perhaps to S-GND? Any help is appreciated!

You need to ground the new input shields to S-GND.
