So im trying to install a new sound system/amp in my 03 A4, and ive done my research, have a bentley, and was ready to go today.
I took off the knee bolster and found the dist block. I used the top (of the three) nuts for my ring terminal since the bottom one had lots of wires and hte second one was already being used for an aftermarket amp/sub. I disconnected to GND strap from the battery. So i add the ring terminal, find a good ground, everything goes as expected.
The problem is that once i connect the ground strap on the battery, my lights, dash, remote unlock, horn, winshield wipers and interior lighting dont work. All the dash lights come on when the car starts, and there are no visible error codes (though i dont have a VAG Com). The car drives fine, ecept for all the stuff that doesnt work. All the fuses are intact (as far as i can tell).
Is there somewhere i can look for a fuse or curcuit breaker that controls all that stuff? any ideas? any help is much appreciated.
I have an appt with the dealer tommorow, but i would love to get this sorted before then.
Thanks in advance.
