1996 Audi A4 Quattro w/ Bose/Delta Radio
Hi Everyone!
I just replaced my factory Bose Delta radio with an Alpine and I find I have poor radio reception. I used the recommended antenna adapter in the link below, do you guys think this is the correct one? I used the radio power antenna output (12v+) to feed the wire attatched to the antenna adapter? Where is my antenna I heard it is supposed to be in the rear fender trunk area? Should I just buy an aftermarket internal (window mount antenna)? Any Ideas/ recommendations?

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/SCOVWA2B</a

with a motorized antenna, i.e., make the antenna go up or down, depending on whether you're using the radio. It may not be the same voltage as the desired voltage on that antenna adapter.

The antenna output (prob a blue wire) is the same voltage, BUT it is only a signal level wire, meaning it probably is not putting out enough amps to power the antenna amp.
Use the same wire you use for +12v switched on the radio to drive it.
