a few people here use them you will have to ask them
it plugs in the back of the headunit and basicaly gives you an RCA input, not sure if it will gove you an output. If you are intent with keeping the stock headunit i know of a few people that have ran amps for the components off of it and have not problems with SQ. If you are planning to replace the Headunit well now is a good time to and you wont have to deal with the headache of figuring it out. But i am alomst 100% sure it has to do with teh hi-low, the same person who is doing the same as you had the same problem.

U are like me over the last 2 cars i spent over roughly 20k on stereo
The first to go is the headunit. For the symphony there is no dash it yet so everything has to be custom, i personally like the clean look of the stock headunit and was thinking of just putting the aftermartket headunit in the glove box. Not everyone out there is an audio fanatic and they like the clean look of the stock headunit, in the trade off they will lose SQ but as long as they understand that and it isnt too big of a concern for them it wont be a big deal. A aftermarket HU will give you higher volts output..most today are 4 volts+. But you can run it off the stock headunit SQ will no where be as good as aftermartket but that is the trade off you have to acknowledge. For me personally the stock HU will not cut it..but thats me. I know of people who are quite happy with the bose system, and im the guy who tried to buy the car with NO stereo whats so ever cause i know i will yank everything out.

Ok they are trying to locate a crossover
chip for the amp but they are having no luck.
i think i will probably be switching amps tommorow. Also for the crap they put me through
they are giving me some stuff at cost.

20G on sound systems!? I couldn't imagine breaking 5g w/o shattering the windows
But i'm kinda a cheapskate and get most of my stuff from repo guys. This is the first car where i'm actually buying about 1/3 of it new (all from dealtime.com)

LOL neither have i...on the amp where u plug in the inputs
there are RCA inputs and then there are were u splic into the speaker wires and plug it into the amp those are the hi-lows.
