I want to run a 10 speaker setup (NOT INCLUDING SUBS). I plan to run 2 300 Watt (RMS amps for these 10 speakers.
I don't know if i should use 2 4-channel amps or 2 2-channel amps or even one of each.
I will have 4 6.5 inch speakers in the rear stock locations. Should I use a 4-channel (JL 300/4) amp for this. I figure if i use a 4-channel amp with a built in crossover... i would be able to make the 6.5's in the rear deck at a higher freq. and the 6.5's in the rear doors with lower freqs. If i use a 2-channel amp (JL 300/2) I would have to keep all 4 at the same freq. JL 300/4 or JL 300/2 for the rear? Why?
NEXT....
For the front channel I would like to run a 6.5 inch component and a 8 inch bass driver. Same questions as above. Should i use the 4-channel amp to get lowers freqz. to the 8's and higher to the 6.5's? JL 300/4 or JL 300/2 for the front? Why?
Thank you so much in advance. I know its a long question.
Oh yeah... I will mount the front speakers in a custom kickpanel.

What would you do if you had a JL 300/4 amp and a JL 500/1 amp.
I want to get a third amp which would also be a Jl 300/4 or 300/2.
What speakers, subs, setup would you use.

For 10 mid-range speakers...Well...With these amps to work with, you COULD put the 300/4 for the front setup...either 2 sets of components, or 1 component set with 6"-8" Mid-bass drivers...but where to put the mid-bass?... A 3-way component would require you to either bridge the 300/4, or stick with the 300/2 because they require much more power...Then put another 300/4 for the rear speakers...Then, of course, 500/1 for sub/s. OR...YOU COULD put a 300/2 for the front with a nice set of 2 or 3-way components. The front speakers are really the most important, the rears are really only for fill, so it is a good idea to get some with more mid-bass to fill the interior of the cabin. I would really get 2 sets of component front speakers, and one pair of components in the rear in stock speak locations.
