I am looking for a matched 5 speaker system to go alone with my Definitive sub. Not a high end unit, so priced below $1500.00. This is for a home theater setup in a medium sized room. Any after Christmas deals out there? Any help would be appreciated.

Of names I can immediately remember off the top of my head, Def Tech and Energy are two. Boston as well, Klipsch, Infinity and many many others.
I suggest you ask/search around on www.hometheaterforum.com about it. The type of power you are putting out from your amp/receiver can effect the speakers you choose.

they are matched with the same woofers and tweeters... sound very nice for music and movies, and are very affordable.

I bought a set of surrounds to complete my HT about 3 years ago. The front speakers are custom built high end audio stuff. Too good to let go but nothing existed for matching surrounds.
After a lot of listening and disapointments I ended up with a pair of Atlantic Technologies surrounds. They came pretty close to the balanced sound I like from the main speakers.
By the way, I dont use a center speaker...no need...the main speakers image wall to wall and all the way to the horizon on their own. I modified the processor to redirect the center to the mains (yes I know phantom center is an option but dts doesnt support it and so neither do the processors that adhere to the dts implementation rules).
