how do i know if my stereo is bose?

how do i know if my stereo is bose?

maybe im missing something but if its bose it says it on the speakers right? I have a 97 a4 T/Q.

When you turn it on, it says BOSE (at least if you have a Symphony)

Mine also says Bose on the speakers.

My 98 didn't have Bose labels on the speakers

I think they started putting the Bose labels on in 1999 or 2000 or even later. SouthboroAudiGuy is right, when you turn on the head unit it shuold say Bose. Or try to find the amplifier in the trunk. If you have Bose the amp will say so.

thats the problem... my head unit is broken and doesn't turn on... but i'll look for the amp in the trunk

There are no Bose/non-Bose head units

AFAIK all head units can be coded to be used with the Bose sound system - or without.

If it sounds like total crap, it's Bose. If it only sounds like half-assed crap, then it is nonBose
