How hard is it just want to replace the stock HU with Pioneer AVIC-N1.
I have symphony II non Bose system on my 02 A4.
I also ordered the wiring harness for aftermarket radio from Autotoy along with the Dash kit. I have no idea if the wiring harness will work with the Pioneer or not. Any help is appreciated!

Should be pretty straight forward, have you got the Audi keys to get the Symphony out?
That can be the hardest part, otherwise it's plug in the power loom, speaker loom (both standard ISO) and then use the adapter to hook up the rear RCA's of the Pioneer to the rear Audi amp.
Common issues:
CD changer won't work (if you have one)
You may get a pop from rear speakers when you turn the HU on
DIS Radio display will be blank
"Ignition on" may be the wrong way round so you'll lose your settings. You'll need to swap over the yellow & red wires.
You may not have an ignition on wire on the power loom (later models use the CAN-BUS to determine if the ignition is on), so you'll either have to run a cable from the Radio (S-Kont) fuse on the fusebox, or use perm live (which means the HU won't go off when you take the keys out).
Apart from all that, fairly straightforward but you should really replace the front component speakers to make the most of the new HU.
